Paul Dainty has been a cornerstone of the Australian entertainment industry since 1972. He has been responsible for the biggest tours to hit Australia — including Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, U2, David Bowie, Prince, Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Neil Diamond, Bee Gees, George Michael and ABBA.

In 1995 Dainty Consolidated Entertainment was formed as a partnership between Paul Dainty’s PD Entertainment Corporation Pty Ltd and Consolidated Press. Dainty Consolidated Entertainment is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Recent tours include The Rolling Stones, Il Divo, Snoop Dogg, Nickelback, k.d. lang, Neil Diamond, Delta Goodrem, and Michael Bublé.

Among the musicals and theatre shows produced or co-produced by a Dainty company were Mamma Mia! (which DCE presented in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong), Happy Days: The Arena Mega-Musical, Saturday Night Fever (in London and New York), The Rocky Horror Show, Joffrey Ballet, Riverdance and A Tribute To The Blues Brothers with Russell Crowe. DCE’s latest theatrical production Mum’s The Word 2: Teenagers recently premiered at the Comedy Theatre garnering rave reviews.

Other entertainment bonanzas have ranged from stand-up comedy by Jerry Seinfeld to World Wrestling Entertainment live events.

Last year, DCE achieved two prestigious rankings in global trade publications. In a list by U.S. based “Pollstar” magazine of the top tours of the first six months of 2005, DCE was placed #1 Australian promoter and #11 of international promoters.

DCE is also the proud winner of 3 Helpmann Awards. Most recently for collecting the Best International Contemporary Concert award for Il Divo. In 2004 DCE received 2 Helpmann Awards for the record breaking The Rolling Stones 40 Licks tour.

Paul Dainty is a Director of the Board of the Film Finance Corporation Australia, sits on the Board of the Sydney FC as Independent Director and recently joined the Board of the Peter Mac Foundation.

DCE produces the prestigious L'Oreal Paris AFI Awards to be held in Melbourne later this year.
